Job Overview

Talent Sutra is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven National Sales Head to lead our national sales strategy and operations in the medical device industry, specifically in the Endovision/Laparoscopy surgical device market.

This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, proven ability to develop high-performing sales teams, and expertise in executing go-to-market strategies. The position will oversee both private and government sales channels to ensure market leadership, revenue growth, and significant market share in the Indian Endo Vision/Laparoscopy surgical healthcare ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will also be tasked with impactful and effective CRM adoption, ensuring robust pipeline management, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and alignment with corporate goals are critical to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Sales Leadership
  • Sales Performance Management: Define annual sales goals, create action plans, and monitor progress to achieve revenue targets aligned with company objectives.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a nationwide sales team, providing necessary tools and training.
  • Performance Coaching: Conduct performance assessments, set KPIs, and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Operations Oversight: Oversee day-to-day sales operations and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Customer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product, marketing, regulatory, and customer support teams.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor market dynamics, analyze sales performance, and generate reports for senior management.
  • Resource Optimization: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring resource optimization.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sales activities adhere to relevant healthcare and medical device regulations.
  • Adaptability: Drive fast-paced execution and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
  • CRM Adoption: Utilize and adopt Salesforce to track opportunities and manage the sales pipeline effectively.
  • Performance Metrics: Focus on key sales metrics to drive performance and achieve targets.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive national go-to-market strategy for private and government sales segments.
  • Market Growth: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to drive sustained growth.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven success in managing both private and government sales channels.
  • Industry Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in driving sales growth, meeting revenue targets, and leading high-performing teams.
  • CRM Experience: Experience in implementing and ensuring adoption of Salesforce CRM or equivalent tools.
  • India Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of India's healthcare landscape, including government procurement processes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, competitive, and results-oriented environment.
