Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable
Legal Consultant
/ Candidate with 3 to 8 years of experience to manage and advise on legal matters related to
liquor licensing, rental property compliance (commercial and personal), hotel and club regulations
, and broader business operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, drafting and reviewing contracts, liaising with government authorities, and ensuring end-to-end legal support for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liquor License Compliance
    : Ensure compliance with excise laws, manage liquor license renewals, documentation, audits, and reporting.
  • Property & Rental Agreements
    : Draft, review, and negotiate lease agreements for both commercial and personal rented properties. Ensure compliance with local rent control acts and property-related laws.
  • Hotel & Club Legal Compliance
    : Advise on legal regulations related to hotels, clubs, FSSAI, fire safety, pollution control, and entertainment licenses.
  • Contract Management
    : Draft and vet vendor contracts, employment agreements, service contracts, NDAs, etc.
  • Dispute Resolution
    : Handle legal notices, reply to claims, and coordinate with external lawyers on ongoing litigations, if any.
  • Compliance Monitoring
    : Develop internal checklists and processes to ensure continuous legal compliance across business verticals.
  • Legal Advisory
    : Provide legal opinion and strategy to management on operational risks and regulatory obligations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B); LL.M preferred.
  • 3–8 years of experience in legal practice, preferably with exposure to liquor, hospitality, or real estate sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of
    Excise laws, local municipal regulations, lease laws
    , and
    hospitality compliance
    .
  • Strong skills in
    legal drafting, negotiation, and communication
    .

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with excise department processes in (UP locations).
  • Understanding of real estate compliance for both commercial and personal leases.
  • Previous experience handling hotel/club compliance and related litigation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive legal matters.
