Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) is a must; Master's in Law (LLM) is an advantage or CS will give weightage.
15–25 years of relevant experience in legal domain, preferably in real estate or construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of civil, criminal, property laws, RERA, and corporate laws.
Strong experience in litigation handling and legal drafting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership qualities with ability to work independently and under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Job Summary:
The Company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Legal Head to lead their legal department.
The ideal candidate should have 1525 years of strong legal experience, especially in real estate, RERA matters, property handling, litigation, and legal drafting and also handling IPO matters.
This role will be pivotal in managing the company's legal affairs and ensuring complete statutory compliance while minimizing legal risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory:
Provide sound legal advice to the management and business teams.
Ensure all legal practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Litigation & Dispute Management:
Handle all litigation cases (civil, criminal, property, consumer, etc.).
- Liaise with external legal counsel, manage court matters, and oversee timely responses and appearances.
Represent the company in legal proceedings when required.
Real Estate & RERA Compliance:
Manage all RERA filings, approvals, and ensure compliance with state-level RERA regulations.
- Vet property documents for due diligence, title clearance, and ownership verification.
Handle all land acquisition legalities, lease agreements, and related real estate matters.
Drafting & Documentation:
Draft and review all legal documents including agreements, MoUs, NDAs, sale deeds, lease deeds, contracts, notices, and reply letters.
Ensure legal language aligns with the company's interest and minimizes future risks.
Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to legal regulations such as Companies Act, Contract Act, RERA, etc.
Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory changes and interpret their impact.
Liaison & Coordination:
Coordinate with government authorities, land offices, legal consultants, and advocates.
- Maintain relationships with law firms, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
