Rakuten India Development Centre is the second largest technology hub outside of Japan that enables & builds platforms for global E commerce, Payments, Digital, AI, Data Science services across the globe. Responsibilities:-

1. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and engaging with potential clients starting with India and eventually expanding globally. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads to meet or exceed sales targets.


2. Consultative Selling: Understand prospective customers' unique challenges and pain points related to data observability/ Data Quality. Articulate the value proposition of our data observability product and tailor solutions to address their specific needs.


3. Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of our data observability product, its features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Be able to communicate this knowledge effectively to potential clients during sales presentations and discussions.


4. Relationship Building: Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, data engineers, data analysts, and IT leaders, to foster trust and credibility for Rakuten


5. Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives and target customer segments.


6. Sales Cycle Management: Lead the sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Conduct product demonstrations and workshops to showcase the value of our data observability product.


7. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to help shape the product roadmap and marketing initiatives.


8. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and customer success teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding, successful product adoption, and customer satisfaction.


9. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, customer information, and activities in the company's database. Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the management team.


Requirements:

1. Proven Sales Experience: in successful B2B sales, preferably in the technology or software industry, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.


2. Technical Aptitude: Strong technical acumen and an ability to grasp complex technical concepts related to observability, data quality and data pipelines etc.


3. Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with engineering, data analytics, B2B SaaS products or related fields is highly desirable.


4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to deliver compelling sales presentations and negotiate effectively.


5. Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and provide solutions that align with their business goals.


6. Self-Motivated: Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.


7. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
