Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Quickly learn and implement VMware technology products and solutions using automation techniques.
  • Utilize VMware tools such as vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestration, Operations Manager, and vRealize Loginsite to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of the VMware infrastructure.
  • Address security vulnerabilities and apply bug fixes promptly to maintain a secure infrastructure.
  • Build and rebuild new VMware ESX cluster environments using automation solutions to meet global business requirements.
  • Plan and execute testing and rollout of ESX security patches on complex ESX environments and dedicated ESX clusters using vRO workflows.
  • Manage vCenter patch management to ensure infrastructure security.
  • Plan and implement ESX hardware evergreening activities, coordinating with vendor management and data center teams.
  • Deploy and manage ESX hosts, clusters, and vCenter in complex VMware environments.
  • Optimize and remediate solutions on network port groups, vSwitches, VLAN tagging, and NIC teaming to align with group standards.
  • Manage storage resources using vSAN, configuring ESX datastores and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Oversee ESX capacity management, including vMotion migration activities in standard and internal cloud platforms.
  • Maintain cluster health by configuring cluster features, including HADRS.
  • Follow change management processes and adhere to defined standards to ensure change quality is not compromised.

Experience Required:

  • 5 - 8 year of experience in VMware infrastructure deployment, automation, and administration.
  • Hands-on expertise in managing ESX clusters, vSAN storage, patching, and capacity planning.
  • Proven ability to address security vulnerabilities and implement best practices across complex VMware environments.
  • Experience with vRO workflows, network configurations, and managing virtualized environments.

Education: Any Graduation.
