**Overview**
- The VMWare SME Specialist will work with PepsiCo’s service provider to design, evaluate, procure, certify, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot VMWare and Server Virtualization related solutions.

**Responsibilities**
- Work as Owner and Subject Matter Expert for VMWare hypervisor platform deployed at PepsiCo DCs and field locations
- Leveraging elevated accesses and advanced trouble-shooting knowledge to mentor and assist service provider with escalated tickets
- Resolving escalated VMWare platform related incidents tickets.
- Partnering with the infrastructure delivery and enterprise architecture organization to design server virtualization solutions
- Documenting new designs for VMWare / Virtualization solutions needed by the PepsiCo business
- Interfacing with customers in the business including field management, field operations, personnel and executives located at PepsiCo headquarter and/or personnel at other distributed locations to provide technical advice for the VMWare platform services
- Partnering with external vendors to stay abreast of developments in VMWare offerings that can be used to meet PepsiCo business requirements
- Partnering with other IT teams and Stakeholders as needed.

**Qualifications**
Years of Experience
- 10 or more years of technology and IT experience
- 6 or more years of VMWare platform work experience

Mandatory Technical Skills
- Bachelor's Degree Required (computer science, computer engineering, or information systems)
- Certifications within disciplines such as VMware Certified Professional on Data Center Virtualization, VCAP on DCV Design / Deploy, VCP on Cloud Management & Automation, and other Azure / AWS certifications are desired
- Proven ability to design, configure and support Virtualization solutions using VMWare platform.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across the overall IT Infrastructure stack (Compute / Storage / Network / DBs) and strong analytical skills

Mandatory Non-Technical Skills
- Ability to lead multiple internal and vendor teams effectively, manage deliverables and outcomes through multiple managed service providers.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Scripting knowledge is preferred.

Differentiating Competencies
- Working experience with IT Infrastructure Suppliers / Partners is preferred
- VMWare hypervisor Platform experience is a MUST
- Strong Oral, Written communication and presentation skills
- Stakeholder Management experience
