Technical Sales Support Engineer - Smart Buildings Solutions

Purpose:

Support the business with technical sales activities across our comprehensive Smart Building Products portfolio including Niagara Framework, SkySpark, Smart Sensors and metering, and Cybersecurity;

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate quotations and proposals, handle inbound sales enquiries, assist customers with product application support and manage enquiries through to completion;

  2. Work closely with internal products and development team to ensure relevant solutions are provided to customers.

  3. Work with Sales and Orders Coordinator on product delivery and warranty procedures.

  4. Maintain and update pricelists with input into inventory management.

  5. Pursuit of growth for Conserve It in Asia Pacific with more focus on Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia.

  6. Supporting sales through understanding of the target customer's business, drivers, and organisation, and an understanding of the value that Conserve It brings to them.

  7. Maintaining customer satisfaction.

  8. Contribution to Conserve It's strategy and its implementation via market research.

  9. Provide feedback to product development teams on new customer requirements as they are found.

  10. Assist with marketing and promotional activities.

  11. Assist with customer product training.

  12. Communicate product information to customers

  13. Overflow Technical Support and Project Management when required.

  14. Other duties as required.

  15. Update sales tracker and logging of all tasks

Job Competency Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical, mechanical, controls & instrumentation related to HVAC controls.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Initiative and willingness to learn.
  • Computer skills Microsoft suite, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Previous Experience in Customer Service, Sales/Pre-Sales in Smart Buildings Solutions / Building Automation / HVAC Optimisation Solutions (2-3 years experience required)
  • A technical background that allows a good independence in the qualification phase of the opportunity is preferable but not compulsory.
  • Can do attitude and ability to work independently and to take initiative as well as ability to work in a team is highly desirable.
  • High availability, flexibility and the ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to manage quote/enquiry response to customers independently
  • Proactivity and ability to grasp needs in different areas, establishing relationships with decision making management of customers.
  • Autonomous management of the sales process in its phases right from initial enquiry to project completion
  • Good knowledge of English, both in writing and verbal
  • Availability to travel is required
  • Desirable: Niagara N4 certification
