
Regional Sales Manager General trade

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets in General Trade.
- Manage and expand the distributor and retail network within the assigned region.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Sales Officers (SOs) / Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to deliver on KPIs.
- Ensure effective execution of trade marketing activities, visibility plans, and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Ensure stock availability and optimal inventory management at distributor and retailer levels.
- Negotiate with key stakeholders (distributors, retailers) for favorable terms and long-term relationships.
- Identify market opportunities and new growth areas through market visits and competitor analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, credit controls, and operational standards.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Experience: 7-10 years of sales experience in FMCG / Personal care, with at least 35 years in a regional leadership role managing General Trade.
- Strong understanding of channel sales, distribution management, and the GT market landscape.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong distributor/retailer relationships.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
