Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets in General Trade.
  • Manage and expand the distributor and retail network within the assigned region.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Sales Officers (SOs) / Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to deliver on KPIs.
  • Ensure effective execution of trade marketing activities, visibility plans, and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Ensure stock availability and optimal inventory management at distributor and retailer levels.
  • Negotiate with key stakeholders (distributors, retailers) for favorable terms and long-term relationships.
  • Identify market opportunities and new growth areas through market visits and competitor analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, credit controls, and operational standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of sales experience in FMCG / Personal care, with at least 35 years in a regional leadership role managing General Trade.
  • Strong understanding of channel sales, distribution management, and the GT market landscape.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong distributor/retailer relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
