Your Role
Private Brands team is looking for a customer-obsessed Category Manager to help
drive one of the most exciting growth engines for Private Brands at Zepto . In this role,
you will lead a category end to end - owning the lead to launch cycle for new
products/brands under Private Brands along with driving inputs to achieve the
desired scale for the category on both Topline and Bottomline.
Key Job Responsibilities
● Creating a data-driven long-term category growth roadmap for Private
Brands
● Profitably growing existing selection by focusing on core inputs ● Understands the consumer needs, competition and utilises that insight to
initiate product level development.
● Develop & Launch new selection backed by strong customer / retail insights.
● Understanding the market trends & figuring out opportunities for new and
existing category & sub-category.
● Proactively drive sourcing activities in collaboration with stakeholders to
complete procurement objectives.
● Strong category management skills which include conducting opportunity
analysis, supplier competitive landscape, supplier selection, supplier
management, process optimization and execution of agreements.
● New Product development, designing trends by identifying new Vendors.
● Working with Cross Functional Team to drive category growth agenda.
● Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to implement
and manage effective supplier relationships, identify and implement
opportunities/processes to influence improvement in service, quality, delivery,
and cost and optimal payment terms.
● Drive the Sales, Margin, and Inventory.
● Determines the buying requirements and formulates buying plan and budget
for the assigned brand/category, based on the analysis of the historical trends
and future forecasts
● Work closely with the legal, quality packaging & designing team for the
development of the product for consumers.
● Evaluation of contracts to drive continuous value to business. Interface with
Legal in reviewing and recommending changes to proposed developments.
● Work closely with onsite marketing teams for new launches and plan visibility
of old and new products.
What are we looking for?
● 4+ years of with Excel experience
● Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
● Experience with business analysis and P&L management
