Position Overview :
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Dy. Manager/Manager Finance to oversee financial operations, costing, and inventory valuation in our chemicals business. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in finance, strong working knowledge of SAP, GST, costing, inventory valuation, and experience in the chemical industry, particularly with cost sheet calculations for chemical products.
Key Responsibilities:
Costing & Financial Reporting:
Prepare and manage cost sheets for chemical products, ensuring accurate cost allocation and margin analysis.
Analyze production costs, variances, and profitability to support decision-making.
Develop and implement cost models to improve cost efficiency across operations.
Inventory Valuation & Management:
Oversee inventory valuation processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of inventory records, including reconciliation with financial statements.
Monitor stock levels and advise on inventory management to optimize working capital.
SAP & Financial Systems:
Leverage SAP to manage costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting processes.
Continuously improve SAP configurations and reports to enhance business operations.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records in the system, ensuring compliance with company standards.
GST & Taxation Compliance:
Ensure adherence to GST laws and regulations for seamless tax reporting and filings.
Handle GST reconciliation, including understanding of input and output taxes.
Stay updated on changes to tax laws and advise management on their impact.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Certification:
M.Com/ Inter CA or equivalent in accounting or finance.
Experience:
8-10 years of experience in finance, with a focus on costing, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Previous experience working in the chemical industry , especially in a CDMO/CRO environment, is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of SAP for financial management and reporting.
Strong understanding of GST compliance and tax regulations.
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in cost sheet calculations for chemical products .
Expertise in inventory valuation and costing models
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and SAP S/4 HANA
Key Competencies:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Sales)
