Position Summary:

The Controller performs all cost accounting, financial reporting and business partnering functions for Nash India Operations and Sales. The candidate will be a proven leader with experience in manufacturing operations and commercial activities.

Responsibilities:

Prepares financial statements, forecasts, and planning cycles on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis in accordance with company policies and accounting regulations Assures financial plans are consistent with organizational goals and supports the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly bridges for the Company. Provides interpretation and analysis of financial reports and analysis to local and division management to support decision-making actions Responsible for developing standard costs for the plant and handling all related cost accounting efforts to provide management with information that measures the manufacturing performance against standards Responsible for reviewing all capital and major expenditure items to ensure they are approved in accordance with established procedures and are properly budgeted Responsible for all plant accounting that includes: general ledger, cost accounting, fixed assets, inventory, payables, and internal control Supports Engineering, Sales and Project Management for accounting and costing issues related to ETO Projects and Aftermarket business and conducts reviews of costs for ETO projects on a monthly basis and final cost reviews after project completion. Conducts calculation of percentage of completion revenue at month end Oversees and maintains appropriate internal controls, including SOX compliance and satisfying requests from internal and external auditors Partners with the general manager and other functional operations leaders to establish and maintain a ‘continuous improvement’ momentum resulting in improved business results; support Operational Excellence initiatives as needed Performs business analytics, identifying business risks/opportunities, and helping the line staff understand their overall financial results and underlying profitability within their scope of the business’s financial results Partners with business leadership teams to ensure profitability development of the business and margin expansion Supports special projects on as needed basis

  Qualifications/Requirements:

10+ years finance/accounting experience, with strong business acumen and broad understanding of financial statements and accounting principles; management experience preferred Experience with the accounting cycle, AOP and forecasting Must have strong PC/Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel; knowledge of financial systems such as SAP R3 and Hyperion Planning preferred Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to leadership Ability to work independently and perform in a fast-paced environment Fluent in English
