Collections SupervisorAs a Collections Supervisor, the primary responsibility is overseeing the daily operations of collection specialists while receiving guidance from the Collections Manager. This includes managing time reporting, conducting one-on-one meetings to discuss and resolve problematic accounts, and ensuring work quality and efficiency, while also maintaining positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Roles and ResponsibilitiesCollectionsSupervise collections team, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure they meet their performance goals and standardsAct as a liaison between Sphera India and Sphera North AmericaPrepare, review, and provide weekly updates to Manager related to priorities and challenges. Including collection activities and team performanceCollaborate with the manager to develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize bad debt and optimize cash flowManage collection activities such as sending follow-up email inquiries and phone calls regarding outstanding customer account balancesKeep detailed records of correspondence with customers on overdue items to ensure evidence of actions taken is always availableInvestigate and resolve internal and external customer inquiries related to invoice status and issuesProvide customers with statements, invoices, and assistance as needed to facilitate paymentsCommunicate effectively with customers, debtors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and secure paymentsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

Cash ReceiptsReview daily bank activity and ensure cash payments are appliedReview and reconcile customer overpays, short pays and discrepanciesFollow up with customers to obtain sufficient remittance advices to accurately post cash received

Previous Experience and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field5+ years of experience in debt collection (B2B) or account managementPrevious experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred, otherwise, able to learn new ERP systems quicklyProficiency with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong written and verbal communication skills with focus on customer serviceAbility to quickly understand customer issues and resolve in a professional mannerStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong leadership and management skillsFluency in English is essential
