Job Purpose

  • Responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining safety programs that protect employees, facilities, and property from workplace hazards starting from green field to operating plant

Major Areas of Responsibilities

  • This involves creating policies, procedures, and protocols to address potential hazards and risks in contraction of green field plant and operating plant
  • To lead Hazop study of the new building blocks
  • Regularly evaluate the workplace for hazards and determine the likelihood and severity of potential incidents.
  • Determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent future occurrences.
  • Educate employees on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, identify potential hazards, and assess the effectiveness of safety programs.
  • Document safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • Keep abreast of changes in safety regulations and best practices.
  • Work with management, HR, and other teams to integrate safety into all aspects of the business.
  • Foster a positive safety culture where employees are empowered to identify and report hazards.
  • Handle the process of reporting and managing injuries and illnesses related to work.
  • Suggest ways to enhance safety protocols, technologies, and processes.

  • To fulfill and maintain all records related to GPCB,DISH,GIDC, Regulatory audits , legal , IMS

Person Qualifications

Essential Qualification: BE / MSc with Post diploma in Fire+safety and environment management

Experience: Total 15+ years of work experience preferably in chemical/Pharma industry and greenfield project set up experience is essential
