Assistant Manager - Purchase Role

We are seeking an experienced candidate for the role of Assistant Manager - Purchase to manage procurement and supply chain activities essential for the smooth operation of our projects.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, vendor management experience, and a keen understanding of supply chain optimization. They will be responsible for:

  • Creating, processing, and managing Purchase Orders (POs) in line with project requirements.
  • Coordinating with vendors for order confirmations and timely delivery.
  • Working closely with the finance team to process vendor payments on time.
  • Collaborating with project & design teams to ensure equipment specifications & requirements are met.
  • Tracking production timelines and ensuring timely material dispatch.
  • Building & maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Maintaining purchase records, supplier details & pricing reports for effective procurement analysis.
  • Evaluating supplier performance & quality compliance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes in EPC projects.
  • Experience in handling Import shipments.
  • Understanding of vendor management, invoice processing, and dispatch coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Commerce, or an engineering field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally, ERP/SAP systems, MS Excel, and procurement software.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
