Client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead their high-performing team of SMB & Enterprise Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Business Development Representatives (BDRs), Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), and Account Executives. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in driving the team's efforts to uncover new high-value prospects, secure new enterprise logos, and expand our existing client relationships within various regions.
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for meeting and exceedingly quarterly and annual sales and revenue quotas. You will report to the Head of Sales and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Pre-sales, Product, and Customer Success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Sales Strategy:
Create and implement a comprehensive territory plan to maximize growth and drive key industry and territory penetration.Analyze the assigned account base to identify key areas of opportunity and develop strategic plans to capitalize on them.
Revenue and Margin Growth:Responsible for driving revenue and gross margin growth by detecting, closing, and growing key partnerships to support and accelerate our strong growth.
GTM Initiatives:
Identify strategic initiatives to grow and adapt the program to market conditions and client needs alongside your client contacts with a focus on increasing team sizeProactively gather market insights through qualitative and quantitative data analysis to share with the Bird client and drive increased performanceDefine and execute go-to-market (GTM) growth initiatives, solution development, field engagement, enablement plans, demand generation/marketing plans, and product and technology alignment.
Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management:Lead efforts in new customer acquisition, driving new revenue through a solution-selling methodology.Develop and grow visibility and relationships across multiple levels within the customer organization, navigating through decision-makers and influencers.
Team Leadership and Management:Manage, coach, support and scale a diverse sales team across multiple disciplines and workflows to execute the sales strategy for the region.Provide ongoing mentorship and development opportunities to ensure the team’s continuous growth and high performance.Hire and recruit new talent as neededCreate and implement systems and processes to measure quality, effectiveness and productivity of the teamCreate and implement systems and processes that drive efficiency and performanceReport on forecasting, performance to goal, trends, blockers and opportunitiesCollaborate with Program Director, Training and Quality teams to identify strategies, and processes to achieve increased revenue goals, improved conversion rates and faster moving pipelinesPrepare and conduct weekly and monthly business reviews with clients and be a key contributor to quarterly business reviews with clientsSet team goals in partnership with analytics team and Bird client.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:Own and present quarterly and annual sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company’s revenue goals.Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure the team meets or exceeds targets and identify areas for improvement.Oversee team performance to goalsManage, coach and mentor team leaders to ensure optimal performanceDevelop and implement strategies that drive employee engagement, performance and retentionMaintain staffing optimization through deliberate hiring practices, employee retention, performance planning, and disciplinary action
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:Work diligently with cross-functional teams in Product, Marketing, Support, and Operations to design mutually beneficial contracts that address customer requirements and balance the needs of our business.Collaborate frequently within the company ecosystem including your Director and VP, Business Intelligence, Talent Solutions, Talent Acquisition, and company FoundationManage client relationships and day-to-day engagement and as the main point of contact for client stakeholders
Experience -
Leadership Experience:High energy and inspiring leadership with a proven track record of managing and scaling high-performing sales teams.7+ years of progressively increased responsibility in B2B Enterprise SaaS sales. Experience within the CPaaS space is a major plus4+ years of experience managing software sales teams.Experience with software vendor, IT Services, SaaS space or system integrator space
Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. MBA in sales and marketing is preferred
Communication Skills:Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.Exceptional skills in presentation and managing client expectations and ensuring high levels of client satisfactionWorld-class interpersonal and communication skills to make complex contractual, technical, and financial details sound simple.Confident and effective communicator with the ability to influence individuals and groups at all levels.
