About role

We are looking for a developer advocate who can be a bridge between ImageKit and its developer community. In this role, you'll inspire and enable developers to make the most of ImageKit’s powerful image and video APIs, showcasing their impact on modern web development.

You’ll lead by creating valuable content, delivering workshops, and representing ImageKit at global events. This remote-first role includes travel opportunities across India, Europe, and the USA to attend meetups and conferences and collaborate with community leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Speak at events : Represent ImageKit at conferences, meetups, and webinars, delivering impactful presentations and talks on web technologies and media optimization.
  • Create content and sample projects : Develop high-impact tutorials, technical blogs, videos, and presentations showcasing ImageKit’s image and video API features and best practices. Collaborate with external YouTube influencers and content creators to outsource and scale content production effectively, ensuring diverse and high-quality developer-focused resources.
  • Community engagement : Interact with developers across forums, social media, GitHub, and other platforms to promote ImageKit’s APIs and capabilities.
  • Feedback loop : Act as the voice of developers within ImageKit, relaying community feedback to guide product improvements.
  • Collaborations : Partner with marketing, engineering, and product teams to align on strategy and amplify developer outreach efforts.

Who You Are

  • A passionate developer eager to share knowledge and enable others.
  • An experienced developer familiar with image/video processing, APIs, and modern web technologies.
  • An excellent communicator capable of simplifying complex technical concepts.
  • Comfortable creating diverse content formats, including blogs, videos, and live talks.
  • Actively involved in developer communities and up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Experience with ImageKit or similar media management solutions is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background with proficiency in at least one programming language for modern web development.
  • Proven experience in technical writing, public speaking, or community engagement.
  • A portfolio showcasing blogs, talks, GitHub projects, or video tutorials is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of media management, image/video transformation, and optimization is a plus.
