Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and tech-savvy Business Development Specialist to be the first point of contact for potential clients. You will be responsible for initiating conversations, presenting Karnival's value proposition, conducting product walk-throughs, and smoothly transitioning qualified leads to the sales team. This role blends presales expertise, consultative selling, and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the initial outreach to prospective retail clients and respond to inbound interest.
- Present Karnival's product suite with clarity, confidence, and relevance to the client's use case.
- Conduct engaging demos, product walkthroughs, and pitch decks tailored to customer profiles.
- Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging, collateral, and outreach strategies.
- Gather client requirements and provide structured feedback to the Product and Sales teams.
- Qualify leads based on business fit, readiness, and potential impact.
- Act as a strategic advisor in the early stage of the customer journey, positioning Karnival as the go-to growth platform.
- Coordinate with the Sales team to transition opportunities for closure.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and track performance metrics.
Job Specifications
:
- 1–3 years of experience in BD, Presales, or Customer Success in SaaS, retail tech, or CRM/CX platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of retail customer journeys and tech adoption.
- Experience in managing demos, POCs, or sales pitches is a must.
- Self-starter attitude with a bias for action and ownership.
- Comfort with CRM tools, presentation platforms, and virtual meeting tools.
