About the role
As a founding AI engineer at Bynd, you will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing financial services through AI-driven workflow automation. In this capacity, you'll:
Architect and develop cutting-edge AI systems that leverage large language models and emerging agent architectures to transform complex financial processes into efficient, automated workflows.
Research and implement state-of-the-art techniques in natural language processing, machine learning, and AI to solve real-world challenges in the finance sector.
Lead and mentor a talented team of AI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
A typical day could involve:
Designing and implementing scalable, robust, and secure AI systems that can handle the complexity and scale of financial data and processes.
Collaborating with professionals across financial services to identify and prioritize high-impact AI opportunities.
Reading research papers on the latest advancements in transformer models and downstream application architectures to ensure Bynd remains at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications Hard Requirements:
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science or AI
5+ years of industry experience in AI/ML engineering roles
2+ industry experience in financial services (on the buy-side or sell-side)
Deep expertise in natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact AI solutions in production environments
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with deep learning and LLM frameworks
Experience with large language models, transformer architectures, and emerging AI technologies such as agent-based systems
Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing AI engineering teams
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex and nuanced technical challenges in the finance domain
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern software engineering practices (Agile, CI/CD, etc.)
Bonus Requirements:
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, or a related field
Experience with financial data, workflows, and processes
Contributions to open-source AI projects or research publications in top-tier conferences/journals
Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in fast-paced startup environments
