Job Description :


- Proven experience (10+ years) in managing network operations, with a track record of managing and leading network teams.

- 5 Years + Experience in leading, mentoring and motivating a team of network engineers while working to achieve organizational and operational objectives, deadlines, targets, KPIs and customer service standards.

- Minimum 10+ years relevant IT industry experience in Networks with a good understanding of SDWAN and traditional MPLS, Voice and Data including:

- Palo Alto: Panorama, NextGen FW, ION SDWAN, IPSEC, LSVPN, Global Protect, Prisma

- Fortinet: FortiManager, Fortigate, FortiSDWAN, Forticlient, FortiGSLB

- Checkpoint FW

- Cisco: ASA, Viptella, Meraki SDWAN, Merai Switches & AP, Routers, Nexus2

- VMWare: Velocloud

- Juniper: Routers, Switches

- Azure: Cloud Networking, Express Route, Virtual Palo,

- F5 DNS

- Strong technical knowledge of networking protocols, topologies, and technologies, including but not limited to routing, switching, Firewalls and SDWANs.

- Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols like BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and EIGRP.

- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.

- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide technical teams effectively.

- Ability to communicate and work across different cultures and social groups.

- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients.

- Ability to understand budgets and cost management.

- Effective time management and prioritization of work.

- Ability to delegate work across the team.

- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Highly regarded/Desirable Criteria :

- Knowledge of ITIL v3 process and foundation is beneficial.

- Experience with cloud networking and virtualization technologies is beneficial.

Responsibilities (not limited to) include :

Leading the Oreta Network Engineers including :

Responsibilities :

  • Mentoring and guiding the engineers to achieve a high performing team
  • Setting training plans and guide in continuous improvement
  • Scheduling the engineers for operations and delivery activities
  • Ensuring the engineers are meeting operational SLAs.
  • Taking lead on high priority / complex incidents that have been escalated.-
  • Dual function: Reporting to the GM of Managed Services for operational activities and GM of Delivery for scheduling resources that are performing project cutovers.
  • Provide network advisory services to Oreta managed services customers.
    Maintain a strong understanding of the Oreta Network portfolio to support in the planning and delivery of services including: patch management, escalations and continuous improvement.
  • Complete any required training and where applicable associated certifications-
  • Maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Monitor the ticket queues/project cutovers and review technical correctness, driving and implementing the same as per target timelines
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and rectify network outages, latency, and other performance-related problems. Act as emergency support contact as needed, for critical client and business-impacting issues
  • Performs quality audits, covering process, service experience, ticket updates, etc. as required-
  • Monitor network tickets/project requests to forecast future network resource capacity needs.
  • Ensure that the shift handover process highlight any key escalated open tickets to be focused on along with a handover of upcoming operation critical tasks to be carried out in the next shift-
  • Ensure timely escalation of all incidents and service requests to management with ensuing updates, where3applicable
  • Use operational and diagnostic procedures to resolve escalated tickers in unique and complex client environments-
  • Engage with clients for technical operations as part of routine operations
  • Constantly measure and analyze team's delivery capabilities
  • Build team practices around seamless documentation, monitoring, and cost management
