Experience in RF & RAN for 6 to 8 years. Hands on in tools / Analytics.

Very Good Presentation skills with adequate knowledge of macros / python / SQL / VB etc.

The RAN SME (Subject Matter Expert) with expertise in 2G, 3G, and 4G technologies plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and optimization of the Radio Access Network (RAN). Reporting to the Circle Head, the RAN SME is responsible for various tasks related to network governance, operational reviews, optimization, troubleshooting, feature implementation, knowledge sharing, and team facilitation.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Governance and Operational Reviews: Establish and maintain governance frameworks and processes for the RAN domain. Conduct periodic operational reviews to assess network performance, identify areas of improvement, and develop action plans to enhance network efficiency and quality.

2. LMS Optimization: Oversee the optimization of the Layer Management System (LMS) for efficient and effective RAN configuration and management. Ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data, parameters, and software versions are maintained within the LMS.

3. Anchor Layer Optimization: Optimize the anchor layer of the RAN to enhance network coverage, capacity, and quality. Analyze network KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement optimization strategies and techniques to improve network performance.

4. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Degradation: Perform detailed RCA for network degradations and failures. Investigate and analyze the root causes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent future occurrences.

5. Management of Special Tracks: Coordinate and manage special tracks within the RAN domain, such as major events, VIP coverage, or high-traffic areas. Ensure appropriate planning, capacity provisioning, and quality monitoring for these special tracks.

6. Massification of New Features and Parameters: Evaluate and implement new features, parameters, and software releases in the RAN domain. Ensure proper testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer to the operational teams for seamless adoption and utilization.

7. Local Technology Deciphering to Team: Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and standards in the telecom industry, particularly in the RAN domain. Decipher complex technical concepts and provide guidance and training to the team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

8. Facilitation and Teaching: Facilitate the learning and development of other engineers within the circle. Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the technical competence and proficiency of the team members.
