Designation: Head, Market Access – Innovative Business Business Unit: Innovative Business Function: Market Access Location: Flexible (UAE, Saudi, Egypt, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, India) Reporting to: Vice President & Lead - Commercial Oncology Role purpose This is an opportunity to cover a key leadership role as Glenmark undergoes a transformation toward innovation. This will allow for a greater commercial focus into new innovative or incrementally innovative products, with Market Access Development being a strong mediator of this shift. The Market Access Head will be responsible for designing and executing market access strategies across key countries globally focusing on emerging markets. This role will ensure timely and optimized access for current and future innovative assets, primarily in oncology while working closely with regional and country regulatory, finance, commercial and medical functions. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of health systems especially in emerging markets pricing and reimbursement dynamics, and experience navigating public and private payer channels. Job responsibilities Develop and implement robust pricing, reimbursement, and access strategies tailored to each priority market. Build strategic engagement plans with payers, HTA bodies, and key government stakeholders. Shape policy and reimbursement landscapes by identifying and leveraging opportunities for partnership with local authorities. Lead health economic outcomes research, and value proposition development initiatives tailored to EM payer needs. Provide input into local launch plans and affiliate readiness for pipeline and in-market products. Monitor and influence evolving healthcare policies, tendering processes, and external environment trends in EM. Collaborate cross-functionally (medical, commercial, regulatory, legal) to drive aligned access initiatives. Support distributor and local partner capability development in access and pricing. Educational Qualifications Advanced degree in health economics, public health, business, or related field Experience Minimum 8 years of experience in Market Access, Pricing, or Government Affairs in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Prior experience with emerging markets (e.G., Latin America, MENA, Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa). Proven experience with oncology, rare disease, or specialty care products is strongly preferred. Experience in Respiratory and Dermatology is also advantageous Strong understanding of HTA, tendering, and public/private payer systems. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical) A strong understanding of the pharma business, especially for innovative assets and biosimilars, with a proven record of collaborating with the various cross-functional teams in the decision-making process Ability to develop and implement sound strategies based on the visionof the company. Has superior analytical skills, strong commercial judgement and pragmatism. Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in addressing major strategic challenges. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure while preserving transparency, respectful behaviours, cross functional leadership and team work attitude. Exceptional communications skills(verbal and written)
