Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Business Development. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in the venture capital/private equity/fund industry, with a proven track record in business development, fundraising, and investor relations.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Development: Lead the development and execution of strategic business development initiatives to identify and pursue investment opportunities aligned with the firm's investment thesis.

Fundraising: Drive fundraising efforts by cultivating relationships with potential investors, preparing pitch decks and investment materials, and coordinating fundraising activities to achieve fundraising targets.

Investor Relations (IR) : Manage relationships with existing and potential investors, serving as a key point of contact for investor inquiries, updates, and reporting requirements. Ensure timely and accurate communication with investors to maintain strong investor relations.

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Proactively source investment opportunities through networking, industry research, and participation in relevant events and conferences. Evaluate investment opportunities based on strategic fit, financial viability, and growth potential.

Due Diligence and Deal Execution: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to facilitate deal execution and closure.

Portfolio Management Support: Provide support to portfolio companies as needed, including assisting with strategic initiatives, monitoring performance metrics, and facilitating follow-on funding rounds.


Qualifications:


Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, or fund management, with a focus on business development, fundraising, and investor relations.

Proven track record of successfully raising capital from institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

Strong network within the venture capital/private equity ecosystem, with established relationships with key stakeholders.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts and market trends effectively.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
