About Us

Mactech, Inc. is a growing U.S. subsidiary of a global engineering and manufacturing company specializing in castings, machining, and heavy engineered components. As we expand into the U.S. rail industry, we are seeking a seasoned sales professional to support our business development activities and help establish strong customer relationships within the rail sector.

Position Overview

We are looking for a part-time Sales Representative, ideally a retired professional with experience in sales or business development in the U.S. railroad industry. This individual will focus on identifying potential customers, quoting projects, and supporting the growth of Mactech Rail, our dedicated rail business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential customers in the U.S. railroad industry.
  • Leverage existing relationships and industry knowledge to open new business opportunities.
  • Assist with preparing and submitting quotations for customer inquiries.
  • Support business development strategies for the Mactech Rail business unit.
  • Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations and global leadership team to align on goals.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales or business development experience in the U.S. railroad industry (rail component suppliers, OEMs, MROs, or related sectors).
  • Established industry relationships strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute on a part-time/contract basis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with quoting processes and contract negotiations in industrial markets.

Compensation

We recognize that experienced professionals bring both industry knowledge and relationships that are invaluable to our growth. Compensation for this role is flexible and may include a monthly retainer, finder's fee, commission structure, or a combination of these options, depending on the candidate's preference and contribution. This is a part-time, contract role and does not include a benefits package.
