  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
  • Experience building large-scale distributed systems.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and manage a team that builds full-stack search related technologies.
  • Leverage Google's technical advancements to build features.
  • Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative environment, this includes hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
  • Drive technical excellence within the team, promoting code quality, thorough testing, and adherence to Google's engineering standards.
  • Identify and address technical challenges and risks, making decisions and trade-offs to ensure timely delivery.
