As Quality Head, you will be responsible for leading the testing and quality assurance of the Product deliveries using both manual and automation testing. You will be responsible for end-to-end management of quality control and testing process of our Suite of Products including planning, verification and validation, regression testing and automation testing to meet or exceed the established quality standard. The role involves working with the Product Engineering team in ensuring that the team follows adequate testing before each release and any implementing controls for both defect detection and prevention to deliver a high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Engineering and development teams to thoroughly understand requirements and define testing scopes, thereby enhancing manual and automated regression suites.
  • Manage end-to-end test management activities including strategy formulation, testing design, test case development, execution, and reporting for each product release.
  • Coordinate and oversee various testing types such as functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Create strategies and plans for developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze defect patterns and trends to improve testing approaches and prevent future issues in releases.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize test cases for effective defect prevention and elevate the overall quality of product releases.
  • Deliver weekly progress updates and metrics reports to the Product Management team.
  • Mentor and coach testing team members to foster growth and skill development.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years experience in software testing and quality assurance roles with track record of leading both manual and automation testing team
  • Should have managed 15 member testing team having a combination of Manual and Automation testers
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, principles and best practices for Product Management.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with ability to work across teams and communicate effectively with all stake holders
  • Knowledge of software testing in Agile projects will be an added advantage.
  • Certification in software testing (eg, ISTQB, CSTE) will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge on Continuous testing using Devops will be an added advantage
