Organization Aprivate investment firm based out of New York City that invests inearlystage software companies driving digital transformation intheir respective industries. Role: Weare looking to add an analyst to support our growing investmentfund and portfolio companies. The role will engage across allfunctions of the firm and will have exposure to the entire dealprocess from origination duediligence deal structuring andpostinvestment management. We are seeking to add a Private EquityAnalyst that is looking for a unique combination of traditionalinvestment analysis work along with direct operational work withinour portfolio companies. An ideal candidate is somebodythatthrives in a startup environment and hasthe desire to take initiatives across every aspect of building abusiness.
Responsibilities Interact daily with the Founder of the fund and work on currentprojects. Assist in developing andimplementing strategies across our portfolio companies includingsales& marketing strategiesoperating efficiency improvement strengthen financial controlsandbusiness modeldevelopment/refinement. Extensive financialmodeling including the development of core business model conceptsforportfoliocompanies. Assist in performing newinvestment opportunity sourcing and diligence and participate inthenegotiation and deal structuringprocess. Assist in fundraisingresponsibilities across the firm and itsassets. Assist with ongoing monitoring ofassets with the firm s portfolio companies including reviewofmonthly operating results and maintainingoverall performancereview.
Candidate
  • Strongacademic credentials finance and accounting backgroundpreferred.
  • MBA from Tier 1/ 2colleges
  • Looking for a mature responsibleintelligent investor that is prepared to take on a wide variety ofinitiatives.
  • Knowledge of business growthstrategy and the risk/return characteristics of private investmentopportunities including valuation.
  • Extensivefinancial modeling skills and experience in the Microsoft Officesuite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communicationskills with ability to work with small startupteams.
  • Clear and concise English writing andcommunicationskills.
