• Define standard terminology across various departments of engineering.

• Facilitate translation projects to ensure optimized cost and highest quality.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic and Planning:

• Management and planning for on-time delivery of translation projects

• Lead cost optimization initiatives to save translation cost

• Linguistic review of technical documentation

Functional:

• Manage translation projects with TMS (Translation Management System) like, SDL, MemoQ, Across, XTM Cloud, etc.

• Coordinate with supplier and internal stakeholders for timely delivery of quality translation

• QA of translated content with Translation quality assurance tools like, Xbench, Trados Studio, DeepL, OmegaT, Language Studio, etc.

Core:

• Understanding of translation and terminology management tools XTM Cloud or similar

• Understanding various cost optimization initiatives, document SOPs for writers for translation cost optimization, lead language training programs for writers.

• Develop Standard Technical Terms necessary to prepare Master Documents to maintain uniformity and consistency in written content

• Understand the product and departmental processes, and related documents.

• Collaborate with CFT (Purchase, language service provider, finance, project management and technical documentation) to ensure on time delivery of translated documents

• Review of the Master documents to ensure consistent terminology, adequate glossary, language and grammar accuracy

• Ontime and ‘First Time Right’ completion of Master document’s linguist review

• Understand various regulatory requirements, like, CFR part 21, GAMP V, Machinery Directive

• Understand the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), PDLC (Product Development Lifecycle) and DDLC (Document Development Lifecycle)

Internal Process:

• Support Team lead to prepare and update departmental monthly report

• Actively contribute in linguist review of master documents

• Prepare and Maintain reports on CFT feedback and improvement actions suggested by various functions.

People Development:

• Drive and maintain Customer Centric culture within documentation teams to fulfil desired customer need

• Support team members to fulfil their job responsibilities

• Support Project documentation writer to implement Master Operating Instructions for projects.

KRA

• Develop Standard Terminology for ACGE

• Review master documents to improve linguistic correctness

• Drive CFT to review and receive inputs from various functions for improvement terminology

• Ontime and ‘First Time Right” completion of terminology with reference to Editorial Guide, Technical requirements and Company standards.
