Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and update technical documentation, including open source documentation, user manuals, product wiki, installation guides, API documentation, white papers, and online help.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand the product and documentation requirements.
- Gather and analyze technical information from various sources to create accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and easy to understand for the intended audience.
- Edit and proofread documents for grammar, style, and consistency.
- Organize and manage documentation sets and ensure they are easily accessible to internal and external users.
- Create visual aids and diagrams to enhance the understanding of complex technical concepts.
- Work with the development team to understand new features and changes to existing products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
Skill Sets:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology or software development environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, and Confluence similar.
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with API documentation and developer-focused content.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and other mobile/web/backend technologies.
