A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Waystone Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd Reporting into the Head of HR. The Human Resources Business Partner role will be accountable to ensure that all HR services are delivered in a cost efficient & high-quality manner within India. The role will partner with the business on the development and delivery of robust people initiatives, organisational change, and cyclical people activity - as well as oversee all elements of HR and be the main liaison to employees to ensure the business needs are met. The role will support strategic HR projects across the business. You will be expected to provide guidance and recommendations on diverse and/or complex issues, & ensure compliance based on accurate interpretation of local policies and regulations. This role will have line management responsibility for the HR Advisor and Recruitment Lead. The successful candidate will demonstrate high levels of commercial acumen and strategic thinking and will have the ability to work at pace across several global senior business stakeholders. This role would require supporting in EMEA business hours
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
Support the development and delivery of robust people plans across the business, drawing on experience and insight to drive sustainable and commercial impactInput into the design and shaping of development initiatives that build skills, enhance leadership capability, and provide personal development opportunities for all parts of the business.Lead and manage HR within the India site to ensure achievement of global operations and global HR departmental goalsBe a strategic thought partner to business leadersOperational Management
Partner with the wider HR team and business leaders in relation to:Talent and succession managementThe development and maintenance of technical, leadership and professional skills and a capabilitiesEmployee engagement and cultureOrganisational changeEmployee relations and employment regulationsThe management of cyclical processes such as goal setting, performance review, remuneration review, talent assessment and development planningTake an active role in understanding business issues. Recommend and develop approaches to address those challengesSupport and advise on ongoing employment policy development and employee relations activities (., disciplinary, grievance, dismissal) including compliance to employment regulation and lawSupport talent and succession planning activities and upskilling across the business, including the delivery of local talent plansWork with recruitment teams to drive employer branding initiatives and to enhance the overall talent acquisition process. This will also involve playing a direct role in the sourcing and assessment of suitable candidates for senior and key positionsCoach leaders on how to drive positive organisational behaviours and embed a high-performance culture across the business, one which drives ongoing performance feedback and builds consistency through robust practices and toolsBring the voice of employees to critical organisational decisionsProvide advice and coaching to local managers on people policies and procedures, employment arrangements and local labour lawSupport managers to resolve employee relations cases (such as disciplinary, grievance, absence,Provide first line support to employees on local employment related queriesDevelop meaningful relationships with key people and influence decisions by using data, reports, and evidencePeople Leadership
This role will have line management responsibility for the HR Advisor and Recruitment Lead.Governance & Risk
Partner in the process of Policy formation, implementation, and adherenceEnsure appropriate documentation to safeguard against legal and reputational risk.Own the transition of India entity out of the Transfer service agreementDrive the set up of India office as per local regulatory requirements.Experience & Personal Attributes
15+years of experience in HR function with majority of it being as HRBPDegree-Level Qualification in Human Resources or other related disciplineExecution and delivery focused – with an approach that emphasises teamwork and collaborationResilient and demonstrates ability to ‘stand your own ground’Able to influence key decision-makers and to challenge when necessaryStrong commercial acumen and the ability to manage risk for the businessHigh level of energy, enthusiasm, and passion for change – able to generate excitementExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with internal and external partiesAbility to lead others in a fast paced and dynamic environmentAbility to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, across different locationsWell-developed relationship building skills and emotional intelligence to be able identify and leverage behavioural triggers to drive business outcomesTechnical competence in all aspects of employment law and policiesExperience of operating in a global organisation would be beneficial
