About the Role

Kraios Platform Support Team is part of the Global support structure which provides technical support of the application infrastructure - including database, reporting, application services, web and other services within cloud and on prem datacenters. The Kraios platform team is responsible for day-to-day maintenance and support of the core company business digital platform, and work closely with other global IT teams, solution architects, developers to ensure application platform operation, continues delivery and continues integration process according to DevOps best practices.

 The Kraios platform support engineer will be part of a team and work on shifts rotation to ensure support coverage in different time zones. 

Key Requirements:

6+ years of experience in Application Technical Support role. 3+ years of experience in AWS DevOps and cloud services. HBO \ at least bachelor's degree in computer science. Affinity to digitalization and automation of business services.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining day to day activities under our global team.

Typical activities include:

Proactive application monitoring, analysing and fixing issues that arise. Manage application releases and hotfixes - both regular and ad-hoc. Deep performance investigations, monitor application logs, debug logs, and analyze the issue. Application infra optimizations and fine tuning. Incident, change and problem management. Application security management. Installation and configurations, software deployments. Scripts creation and optimizations. Apply DevOps best practices. RDBMS management. Coordinate with L3 support for critical/complex issue (code level, configuration, deployment etc.). Prepare and maintain Incident and RCA reports of every incident.

Key knowledge and experience:

As well as an ability to be able to pick up different disciplines easily the following is required:

Technical skills:

Strong Linux and RHEL system administration knowledge and experience. Strong scripting skills - Python, PowerShell, Shell. Strong knowledge and experience of MySQL optimization, administration, and maintenance. Very good working knowledge of Network and Global IT infrastructures. Very good knowledge and experience in DevOps on AWS Cloud services. EC2, AWS batch, AWS Lambda etc.Docker, ECS, EKS, ECR etc. - Kubernetes will be considered as an advantage.AWS Aurora & RDS.S3 & AWS Backups.AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus & Grafana.VPC, CloudFront, Route 53, Elasticsearch, SQS etc. Good knowledge and experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Good knowledge and experience with MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform and EBS solutions. REST and SOAP web-based services, with a working knowledge of WSDL interpretation, generation, and consumption.
