We are seeking a Mechanical Design Team Leader to build and lead a high performing development team, ensuring timely delivery of top-quality work. You will drive the development of innovative machinery, devices and components from concept to implementation.



In addition, you will collaborate with and manage relationships with multiple departments to achieve project success. As the Mechanical Design and R&D Team Leader you will explore and evaluate integrating off-the-shelf components to improve system performance and time to market.



Roles and Responsibilities:


1. Having strong ability to lead a design team through influence and inspiration and help the team execute at the best level from concept to production.

2. Communicating design strategies to assist with product development and goals and leading the design and verification of complex projects from specification to production.

3. Providing on-the-job training to team members.

4. Continuously explores new practices and patterns for their problem-solving toolkit.

5. Remaining on current technology advancements and integrating them into the design direction.

6. Ensuring the designs, drawings, documents & reports are produced on time to a high quality and are under design & company standards.

7. Overseeing the design process using technical expertise with feasibility requirements and with low price as well as with high quality components.

8. Driving design reviews and promote lessons learned culture to ensure continuous learning of team members.

9. Providing support to marketing, purchase, production, store, assembly and service departments in technical training.

10. Being responsible for producing & communicating development plans & activities with all departments and taking necessary action to ensure they are being delivered on time.

11. Taking critical projects from team members and doing them on own and providing them the lessons learned.


Qualification:


1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

2. Proficient in Creo Parametric, Ansys, AutoCAD, etc.

3. Minimum 3+ years of experience in product design & development especially machinery components.

4. Minimum 2+ years of leading the team of mechanical design engineers of minimum 4 members.

5. Persistence & determination with analytical thinking skills.

6. Experience in Design Calculations, material analysis, machining knowledge, etc. with knowledge of engineering science & technology including manufacturing methods and processes.

7. Knowledge of selection and design of various components like gear/sprocket, chain, timing belt/pulley, servo, bearing & linear bushing, fits, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic devices, material selection, sensors, etc..

8. Experience in performing & delivery of structural analysis, rigid body dynamics, motion analysis, etc. using various software for machine components or for assembly.

9. Strong technical knowledge especially in strength of materials, design of machine elements, statics & dynamics of machinery, thermal engineering, engineering graphics, etc. with problem solving skills.

10. Ability to drive the team members with motivation & leadership skills to work in a fast-paced environment.

11. Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
