About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced L2 Engineer to join our team in Bhopal location.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a 24/7 support environment and a strong background as an L2 Support Engineer or in a similar role. The candidate should possess extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases, and be proficient in troubleshooting both hardware and software issues.
Certification in relevant technologies such as ITIL, Microsoft, or Cisco is a plus. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with end-users, gather additional information about reported issues, and provide clear and comprehensive explanations of technical solutions.
The candidate should be well-versed in Linux operating systems, have experience in providing production support for end customers, and be skilled in deploying applications in production environments. Additionally, the candidate should have experience managing physical servers, working at customer locations, and using monitoring tools and practices to ensure system performance and reliability.
Primary Skills:
- Linux Expertise: Proficient in Linux operating systems.
- Production Support: 3-4 yrs of experience in providing production support for end customers.
- Deployment: Skilled in deploying applications in production and other environments.
- 24/7 Support: Comfortable working in a 24/7 support environment and has prior experience of 24/7.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer handling skills to effectively interact with clients and resolve their issues.
- Server Management: Experience in managing physical servers, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- On-Site Experience: The candidate should have experience working at customer locations, providing on-site support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring: Well-versed in monitoring tools and practices to ensure system performance and reliability.
Secondary Skills:
Will be an add-on if candidate has an exp/knowledge of Hadoop/Hive/big data technologies.
