Position Summary & Objective

This role manages account preparation and reporting for OpSec India. It oversees the maintenance of the purchase and sales ledgers, cash management including maintenance of cash books, performing bank reconciliation and petty cash records; assists with payroll, local government reporting, year-end statutory reporting and tax requirements


Essential Functions Performed by the Position

  • Maintaining accurate books and records within designated system (Netsuite), overseeing month end close process for OpSec India and supporting preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Maintaining cash books, control accounts and ledgers and performing daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations
  • Purchase ledger control through maintenance of an up to date purchase ledger and arranging payment of suppliers
  • Supporting budget and forecasting activities for the Indian operation
  • Payroll services –payroll inputs, supporting internal system/external payroll provider and EMEA team, completion & submission of related tax reports/ monthly payroll payment processing
  • Oversee regulatory tax filing completion & submission with external advisors
  • Provision of details for annual CIT reporting , review & submissions
  • Annual statutory financial reports supporting audit and preparation of accounts
  • Maintaining statutory, regulatory documents and files
  • Support management day to day office transactions, daily operations and office budget

Required Education and Experience


Accountancy qualifications – Accountancy Board qualification in country

3- 5 years of previous experience of working within a finance team as an accountant/bookkeeper having responsibility for monthly and annual reporting

Experience of an ERP/MRP system preferable
