The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking, and experienced Leader who will be responsible for carving out various strategies along with the team members to ensure the Accounts Payable is kept in good standing by ensuring timely payment to the vendors.

 This role will be a full-time position based out of our Coimbatore, India office . The job involves managing and guiding a team of Accounts Payable associates, Sr. Associates, and Team leaders. The key role is to resolve vendor disputes over payables more effectively by arranging vendor meetings, working with various internal teams like sourcing, procurement, and Inventory, and streamlining vendor’s accounts payable processes by providing resolution to the issues. The work includes a combination of voice and non-voice follow-up with internal and external teams.

What we’re looking for

Education: Any bachelor’s or master’s degree & and finance background will be an added advantage.

Experience: 8+ years of Experience in Accounts payables with experience in any ERP system, e.g., SAP preferable

Must have experience in handling a team of 25 or above

Should be Flexible to work night shifts and work from the office.

How you will thrive and create an impact 

Hands-on experience managing and supervising the accounts payable department and staff in the organization. Learning how to organize, multitask, and manage time. Learn on the job regarding the best practices in accounting. Manages and supervises the accounts payable department and staff in the organization. Manages functions like maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting. Ensures that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness. Ensures that the accounts payable and the company’s financial obligations are met efficiently. Keep track of the company’s financial expenditures, maintain a database and provide reports as and when requested by supervisors. Oversee all payment transactions such as ACH, wires, paper checks and so on. Will be in charge of data entry, validation, and processing of various types of invoices like general overhead, subcontractor, and employee travel reimbursements. Keeps track of the status of all transactions taking place within the company and external vendors and contractors. Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be used by the company. Be active on the customer service front and be quick and accurate with communication. Get Trained and Certified on a Process or multiple processes in a specified timeframe Deliver tasks as per Service Level requirements specified by the Business Unit/Center/Stakeholder Upskill process knowledge from time to time. Able to work in a team – understand role in the team - help accomplish team goals and objectives – meet and exceed stakeholder objectives/goals
