Position: MongoDB Database Administrator (DBA)

Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore (Rotational Shifts)

Experience: 5+ Years

Job Summary:

Looking for a skilled MongoDB DBA to manage large-scale, distributed environments. Responsible for performance, scalability, availability, and security of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and manage MongoDB in dev, test, and prod.
  • Handle replication, sharding, backups, patching, and upgrades.
  • Monitor performance and optimize queries, indexing, and schema.
  • Implement HA, DR, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and app teams for integration and tuning.
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Participate in 24x7 support and on-call rotations.

Required Skills:

  • 5–7 years as MongoDB DBA (Replica sets & Sharded clusters).
  • Versions: MongoDB 5.x & 6.x
  • Strong in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and Linux scripting.
  • Tools: Ops Manager, Cloud Manager, Ansible, Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.

Nice to Have:

  • MongoDB Certification
  • MongoDB Atlas / AWS DocumentDB experience
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and other NoSQL/RDBMS.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead when needed.
