Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MongoDB Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in data pipeline development and data warehouse architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing MongoDB clusters, optimizing performance, ensuring data integrity, and supporting scalable data infrastructure for analytics and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain MongoDB databases across development, staging, and production environments.
- Design and implement robust data pipelines for ETL/ELT processes using tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, or custom scripts.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to support data warehouse initiatives and ensure seamless data flow.
- Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization to ensure high performance and availability.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies, replication, and sharding for MongoDB clusters.
- Ensure database security, compliance, and access control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and provide support during deployments.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a MongoDB DBA in production environments.
- Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, including replication, sharding, and performance tuning.
- Experience with data pipeline tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Kafka, Spark, NiFi).
- Solid grasp of data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration strategies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed database services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
