Reports To: Head – Food & Beverage
The Multicuisine Cook will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes across various cuisines (Indian, Continental, Oriental, and others as required) for students, staff, and guests of GSIS. The role demands creativity, consistency, and adherence to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. The cook will contribute to menu planning, support special events, and ensure that meals are both nutritious and appealing.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes covering Indian, Continental, Oriental, and other global cuisines.
Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation in all meals served.
Assist in menu planning, incorporating seasonal produce and nutrition requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety standards.
Monitor inventory of ingredients, assist in indenting supplies, and minimize wastage.
Work closely with the F&B team to support large-scale meal services, school events, and special functions.
Ensure compliance with dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-sensitive meals.
Supervise kitchen helpers or junior staff when required.
Uphold GSIS standards of hospitality and service excellence.
Professional certification or diploma in culinary arts / hotel management preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a cook/chef in hotels, institutions, or restaurants.
Proven ability in preparing multiple cuisines (Indian + international).
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Creativity, adaptability, and ability to handle volume cooking.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Full-time residential position.
Accommodation and food will be provided within the GSIS campus as per school policy.
Work schedule will include weekends, school events, and holidays as required.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
