Position Overview

The Service Advisor – Body Shop serves as the key liaison between customers and the workshop body shop team. This role involves assessing vehicle body repair requirements, advising customers on recommended services, coordinating with technicians, ensuring high-quality repair standards, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The position demands strong technical knowledge in automobile body repair processes and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and accurately record their body repair and painting requirements.

Inspect vehicles with customers to identify dents, damages, and accident-related repair needs.

Provide professional advice on repair solutions, paint matching, parts replacement, and timelines.

Prepare job cards, cost estimates, and explain repair procedures to customers in detail.

Coordinate with body shop technicians and painters to ensure timely and accurate repair work.

Regularly update customers on repair progress, delivery timelines, and any changes in cost estimates.

Conduct final inspections to ensure all repair and paint jobs meet company quality standards before delivery.

Handle customer queries, complaints, and ensure effective issue resolution.

Maintain accurate documentation and records of all repair activities.

Contribute to achieving workshop revenue targets by promoting additional repair services and products.

Essential Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Automobile Engineering or related field preferred.

2–3 years of proven experience as a Service Advisor in the automobile industry (Body Shop segment is highly preferred).

Strong understanding of vehicle body repair, denting, painting, and related processes.

Skills Required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage customer interactions.

Strong technical knowledge of automobile body shop repairs and processes.

Ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms to customers.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in preparing job cards, estimates, and using workshop management software.

Problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach.
