KMC college of Nursing is run under Kaveri Charitable Trust. KMC College of Nursing was established in the year KMC College of nursing is located at Tiruchirappally in Tamil Nadu. KMC College of Nursing is affiliated to Dr. R Medical University , approved by INC & TNNMC. The KMC College of Nursing aims to prepare globally competent nurses and paramedical assistants.

To provide academic and administrative leadership to the Physiotherapy College ensuring excellence in teaching, clinical practice, research, and professional development, while upholding institutional and statutory standards.

Academic Leadership

Plan, implement, and monitor academic programs as per University, UGC, and statutory council (e.g., Supervise curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment.

Guide faculty in research, publications, and participation in academic forums.

Ensure effective clinical training and integration with hospital services.

Oversee day-to-day administration of the Physiotherapy College/Department.

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (UGC, State Council, University guidelines).

Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff performance.

Quality & Compliance

Maintain proper records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities.

Facilitate audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies.

Build collaboration with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies.

Engage with parents, students, and alumni to strengthen institutional reputation.

Knowledge of physiotherapy education, pedagogy, and healthcare trends.

Ability to balance academics, clinical, and administrative responsibilities.

Research-oriented mindset with publications in reputed journals.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: MPT / Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory).

Experience: Minimum 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a Professor/Head role.
