1. An ideal candidate should have had at least 10 years of experience

2. Fluent English, with excellent oral, aural and written command of the language

3. Highly numerate, strong critical thinking and quantitative reasoning

4. Effective team management skills - should be handling a strong team of 50-100 analysts at least

5. Good understanding of strategy, business functions, decision-making and workflow

6. Excellent Collaboration Skills - Influence, build relationships, navigate politics, manage conflicts and negotiate

7. Coach, motivate and develop team members for high performance

8. Strong attention to detail – incl. spelling, grammar, consistent formatting etc.

9. Good commercial acumen – candidate should have a strong interest in business and finance and have a good understanding of general business dynamics (including an understanding of the fundamentals of micro- and macroeconomics etc.)

10. Good understanding of Business and Financial Research domain

11. Information gathering - Ability to sort through large volumes of data (experienced using database search tools) and exercising good commercial judgement to extract relevant information

12. Thorough understanding of financial accounting, including the inter-relationship between the key financial statements (profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement); able to present analysis on changes in financial numbers Y-o-Y

13. Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) - Ability to create reports or presentations to a professional standard (including creation of charts, data tables and other appropriate graphics), ensuring everything is properly aligned and consistently formatted
