Role Overview:

As the Associate Director - Data Science & AI, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping the Data Science & Artificial Intelligence track across our programs. This includes curriculum design, faculty and industry collaboration, classroom delivery, mentorship, and developing industry-led learning interventions. You will be responsible for ensuring academic excellence and relevance in the fast-evolving fields of AI, machine learning, and data science.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development & Delivery:

- Design and continuously update curriculum content for data science, machine learning, and AI courses.

- Ensure curriculum aligns with the latest industry trends and technologies (e.g., GenAI, LLMs, MLOps).

- Identify and onboard high-quality visiting faculty and industry practitioners.

Academic Leadership:

- Lead classroom sessions, workshops, and lab-based courses on data science and AI.

- Mentor students on capstone projects, research work, and competitions (e.g., Kaggle, Zindi).

- Drive outcomes in student placement, certifications, and project success.

Industry Engagement:

- Collaborate with tech firms and startups to develop real-world projects and use cases.

- Lead partnerships for guest lectures, internships, and research collaborations.

- Organize hackathons, datathons, and AI challenges with industry sponsors.

Program Innovation:

- Launch short-term programs and bootcamps focused on GenAI, Python for Business, Data for Decision Making, etc.

- Explore use of AI in pedagogy and classroom delivery (e.g., LLM-powered learning tools).

- Work closely with the product team to create AI-driven learning Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field from a reputed institution.

- Additional certifications in AI/ML or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) are a plus.

Experience:

- 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI, with leadership experience in academia or the industry.

- Proven track record of teaching, mentoring, or curriculum development.

- Strong network of industry professionals in AI/ML, analytics, or technology.
