About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Compliance to lead the compliance function across our fintech ecosystem that spans UPI, BBPS, Bonds, Insurance, and Wealth management products. The incumbent will ensure adherence to RBI, NPCI, SEBI, IRDAI and other regulatory frameworks while driving a culture of governance, transparency, and ethical operations across all digital financial products. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Governance - Lead end-to-end compliance strategy across payments (UPI, BBPS), wealth (Bonds, Mutual Funds, PMS), and insurance verticals. - Act as the Principal Compliance Officer and RBI/NPCI point of contact for UPI and BBPS operations. - Ensure adherence to RBI Master Directions, NPCI circulars, SEBI guidelines, and IRDAI norms. - Develop, implement, and monitor internal compliance policies, frameworks, and risk management protocols. - Stay updated with regulatory changes, interpret impact, and ensure timely implementation. - Prepare and submit regulatory reports and returns to RBI, NPCI, SEBI, and IRDAI. Audit & Risk Oversight - Lead internal and external compliance audits; coordinate with statutory auditors, banks, and partners. - Conduct regular risk assessments and gap analyses; implement corrective actions. - Establish monitoring mechanisms for suspicious or fraudulent activities in UPI and BBPS. - Oversee KYC, CKYCR, AML/CFT, and data privacy protocols across all business units. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Product, Legal, Operations, and Tech teams to embed compliance in product design and go-to-market strategies. - Work closely with partner banks, payment aggregators, and wealth/insurance partners to ensure aligned compliance standards. - Serve as the primary liaison with regulators and respond to notices, queries, or inspections. Policy Development & Training - Formulate compliance manuals, SOPs, and control frameworks across payments, wealth, and insurance operations. - Conduct periodic compliance training and awareness programs for internal stakeholders. - Champion a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the organization.
