Matrimony has also forayed into international markets with its UAE operations completing over 4 years and Bangladesh operations commencing in year 2021. The goal is to build a billion-dollar revenue company and a long-lasting institution with a legacy for the generations to come.
Role Overview
Build a long-term vision for the marketplace offering and drive a scale-up plan across the country. Provide leadership across supply-side, demand-side, operations and product aspects. Deliver meaningful growth and a profitable business model.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Scale Up
- You will design and execute the supply-side scale-up strategy across the country.
- You will adopt a methodical approach to scale-up the supply-side of the marketplace, while at the same time building processes to ensure that the quality of the supply-side remains intact.
- You will partner closely with the supply-side to generate ideas for growth of the business and work with them to execute on those ideas
Demand Acceleration
- You will lead and drive demand generation strategies for the marketplace.
- You will collaborate with organizational stakeholders on integration of the marketplace with the organization's portfolio of products and services, with the objective of accelerating demand across the board
Operations
- You will strategize and scale-up the operations capabilities for the marketplace
Product
- You will work closely with the Product team in co-creating a vision for the marketplace and in driving a product roadmap
Customer Experience & Insights
- You will demonstrate ownership of the overall customer experience and work towards delivering consistently superior customer experience
- You will lead the customer-insights engine and innovate across supply, demand, product and operations to continuously strengthen the product-market fit based on customer insights
People Leadership
- You will demonstrate astute leadership skills and inspire teams to work towards the larger vision
- You will build and lead multiple teams across supply and operations across the country
- You will be an excellent communicator and collaborate with teams at all levels in the organization to drive growth for the marketplace
Candidate Specifications
- 18+ years of experience in building and leading marketplaces for consumer internet businesses / start-ups in India
- Demonstrated successes in scaling new ideas and delivering impactful business outcomes in consumer internet companies
- 8 -10 years of people leadership experience, having built and led high-growth teams
- MBA from a top-tier school preferred; Undergraduate degree from a top-tier school preferred
