Direct Tax and Finance Manager

Direct Tax

  • Computation of Corporate tax, Advance Tax payment and finalization tax liability
  • Preparation, review & finalization of Tax audit and filling of Tax Return / Tax forms
  • Direct tax reconciliation ensuring GL ties with tax returns
  • Liaise with tax authority on tax assessment, notices, objections and appeals
  • Prepare and coordinate documents/data required by tax authorities with the support of external tax advisors (if required)
  • Discuss with external advisors on managing tax appeal, litigations, the tax exposure and risk.
  • Managing Transfer pricing, documentation, review and filling.
  • Prepare and compute corporate income tax and deferred tax provisions for Group and Statutory reporting
  • Prepare and update tax forms for Group Reporting


Transfer Pricing

  • Working knowledge of Transfer Pricing regulation and assessments
  • Preparation of Transfer Pricing audit report
  • Well versed with Transfer Pricing assessment and scrutiny proceedings
  • Knowledge of best practices in the industry.


Indirect Tax

Review overall Indirect Tax [ GST/Customs/VAT etc]indirect tax compliance -Reconciliation, Computations, Return filling, Assessment and litigations


Group Reporting

  • Group Tax, such as transfer pricing, tax optimization, capitalization of entities
  • Ensure accounting are properly maintained such as review provisions and accruals, reconcile FI and CO ledgers, review operating expenses and identify variances


Finance

  • Supervised and managed local tax and BPO as extended arm of local organisation and properly manage the interface with BPO (expertise and validation with retained organisation, transactional duties and quality control with BPO)
  • Ensure adequate knowledge transfer with BPO


Experience

  • Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years post qualification experience in managing corporate tax & transfer pricing preferably in multinational organisation.
  • Local statutory knowledge especially in local taxation, both direct and indirect
  • Experience and exposure to managing tax compliance topics and working with tax authorities
  • Accounting principles, IFRS practices and procedures
  • Knowledge in SAP (FI Module) preferred
