Job Title : Manager - Operations SPA

Industry : Personal Care / Wellness/skin care/ beauty

Job Purpose :

Manage effectively day-to-day smooth operation of the lounge while driving services and retail sales to reach financial targets and at the same time ensuring customer satisfaction and an overall enjoyable spa experience.


Key Elements of the Role :

Staff management

• Management, development and motivation of the lounge team to achieve business targets.

• Like a true leader, set and monitor performance of the staff on a daily basis. Monitor and helping them to reach their individual productivity targets

• Regularly communicate the monthly and weekly targets with the spa team so the business goals are achieved.

• Develop positive working relationships with all team members and encourage teamwork.

• Work as a link between the lounge team and management. Develop and maintain a good working relationship with senior management personnel, team and all other employees.


Service

● Take an active supervisory role, leading the way by performing treatments and presenting yourself to both staff and guests sporting vedaearth uniform.

● Actively assisting staff and customers giving advice and support in ongoing engagements, meetings,services, workshops and events.

• Personally take charge and carry out treatments/services to a standard as per SOPs set during training by the training manager.

• Seek direct feedback from customers and staff at all times and use that constructively to improve service delivery.

• Continuous monitoring of services provided by staff and work towards improving it.

• Ensure that all agreed targets regarding services/retail/quality are achieved

• Ensure all spa service appointments are made in the most effective and productive manner.

• Ensure that the spa and other beauty outlets are presented in excellent visual presentation.

• To take total control for all Health & Safety within the spa, ensuring that appropriate documentation is kept.

• Display excellent customer service and awareness at all times.

• Demonstrate an excellent, overall knowledge of Vedaearth products and services to advise our guests.

Ensuring that all customers' grievances are taken care of as per the sops.

• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed at all times.


Financial

• Monitor and control profit and loss of the spa, assisting finance admin with accurate and timely financial accounting.

• Manage stocks, carry out stock checks and manage orders so that they remain at or below budgetary requirements.

• Monitor and account for the handling and security of Retail and service stock distributed or received..

• Ensure financial paperwork is processed both timely and accurately.

• Ensure pricing policies, promotions and discounts implemented are followed to ensure standardization where possible across the spa operation.


Administration

• Actively report to line manager and spa operations manager on a regular basis, delivering key issues and any operational issues or concerns and ideas for improvement.

Make sure that the admin of the spa is well taken care of and its running smooth at all times.

• Ensure the correct use of the spa POS system.

These are the main accountabilities; however you will be required to carry out other duties which help with the smooth running of the operations as designated by your Manager.


Key Results and outcomes expected from the role :


Essential: Strong leadership and personal presence, able to demonstrate focus, energy and tenacity in the pursuit of results. Self-motivated and able to motivate, influence and inspire others.

Desirable: Experience of managing a similar size spa operation


Timings - Monday to Friday and weekend visits required for multiple lounges across Bangalore.


Educational Qualification : Graduate, Degree or Diploma in beauty course

Work Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in Ayurveda spa/spa and salon/skin care.
