Senior Operations Controller – Job Description

Overview

A Senior Operations Controller plays a strategic role in overseeing and optimizing a company's operational and financial performance. This position bridges finance and operations, ensuring that business activities align with financial goals and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight

  • Supervise the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
  • Monitor budgets, expenditures, and cost controls.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

Operational Management

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across departments.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Align operational activities with company goals and KPIs.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Develop and maintain financial systems and procedures.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape business strategy.
  • Provide insights on profitability, productivity, and performance.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other growth initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Foster collaboration between finance, operations, and other departments.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Above 10 years of experience in operations or management or controlling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Master's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • CPA, CMA, or similar certifications (preferred).
