Primary role: Lead the Business Development function and grow the B2B and B2G business predominantly through the tendering process.
Key role and responsibilities:
- Product Approval: Coordinate with all the stakeholders and get product approved and ensure company's products are added in the approved list for the said project
- Business Development: Develop and execute Business Development strategy and achieve the set targets
- Sales Planning and Budgeting: Prepare annual sales plan and budget
- Relationship Management: Manage good relationships with key decision makers and influencers which include - Consultants, Contractors, Public and Private Sector Institutions and Companies.
- GeM Management: Retaining existing accounts and improving sales through GeM (Govt e-marketplace) / IREPS and other govt e-procurement channels.
- Tender Management: Manage the entire bidding process which include - E-Tendering; Reverse Auctions; developing appropriate Techno-Commercial value proposition, estimation, pricing, bid submission, technical presentation, order negotiation and finalisation of the deai
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Closely monitor the project delivery and ensure the client's expectations are met.
- Receivables Management: Ensure the collection targets are achieved
- Team Management: Lead and guide the sales team to achieve their respective individual sales target for the said period
- Marketing initiative: Initiate appropriate performance marketing initiative to generate leads and also promote company's brand / products
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Graduate / Post Graduate, preferably with an Engineering background.
- Atleast 18+ years of experience and the last 3+ years in a national leadership role in a reputed company in the Electrical Industry - Cable, Switchgears, Lighting, Electrical Motors
- Expertise in Tender Management in both, B2B and B2G
- Proven track record of successfully winning projects related to Electrical related products both, with Government and State
- Expertise in managing Tendering process for project business
