We are hiring for our client, a rapidly growing, innovation-driven company specializing in the manufacturing of biotech research products, including instruments and consumables.
Job Title: Area Sales Manager (B2B/Biotech/Research)
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 4-6 years in B2B sales, preferably in biotech, research, or related industries
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Conversion: Follow up on marketing-generated leads, set up appointments, deliver compelling pitches, and effectively close sales.
- Cold Calling & Appointment Setting: Actively engage with prospects to generate new leads and schedule meetings.
- Customer Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to identify opportunities for new and repeat business.
- Thorough Follow-Up: Consistently communicate with prospects and customers to guide them through the sales funnel.
- Sales Execution: Convert technical demos and marketing pitches into successful deals by addressing customer needs and handling objections.
- Collaboration with Marketing: Partner with the marketing team to ensure alignment in messaging and strategy, attending initial pitch meetings when required.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups using CRM tools.
- Market Feedback: Provide valuable insights to marketing and product teams to enhance offerings and strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- 4-6 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the biotech or research industries.
- Strong knowledge of biotech and research products and solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and sales analytics.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
