Assistant Cafe Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Assistant Outlet Manager to join our team and assist in overseeing the daily operations of our outlet. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Outlet Manager in managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining operational standards, and driving the success of the outlet. If you have a passion for hospitality, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to lead a team, we would love to have you on board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service. Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Operational Support: Assist the Outlet Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the outlet, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Ensure all operational standards are met consistently.
- Staff Management: Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Provide guidance and support to ensure high-performance levels and a positive work environment.
- Inventory & Stock Regulation: Assist in managing the inventory of supplies, ensuring that food stock levels are maintained and placed on order as required. Monitor usage and wastage to control costs.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of food and service, ensuring that every dish meets the restaurant's standards. Conduct regular checks to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene across the outlet.
- Compliance & Health & Safety: Ensure that all health, safety, and sanitation standards are being adhered to, following company policies and local regulations. Support in audits and inspections as necessary.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Outlet Manager and senior management on operational performance, staffing, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management role in a restaurant, café, or hotel outlet.
- Education: A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Extremely attentive to coordinating between the central kitchen and the outlet.
- Understanding of basic financial and inventory management, customer service principles, and health & safety standards.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Additional Information:
- Meals: On-duty meals provided, cooked by the staff.
- Transport: No transportation support.
- Provident Fund (PF): Applicable as per company policy.
