Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Thane

Reports To: CEO

Salary range: 50,000/month


Job Summary:

The Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions. The primary responsibility is to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for software development teams. This role ensures that software solutions align with business objectives and meet stakeholder expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

1.⁠ ⁠Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Work with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements and objectives.

Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and observation sessions to gather detailed information.

Analyze existing business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement.

2.⁠ ⁠Documentation

Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and User Stories.

Develop process flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes to support requirements.

Maintain a well-organized repository of all project-related documentation.

3.⁠ ⁠Communication & Collaboration

Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and the software development team.

Facilitate discussions between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Provide regular updates to project managers, stakeholders, and team members on project progress.

4.⁠ ⁠Solution Development Support

Work closely with developers, testers, and designers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

Participate in solution design discussions to ensure alignment with business needs.

Support Quality Assurance (QA) teams by validating test cases and ensuring solutions meet requirements.

5.⁠ ⁠Change Management

Assess and document the impacts of proposed changes on existing processes and systems.

Update project documentation to reflect approved changes.

Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.

6.⁠ ⁠Post-Implementation Support

Assist in user training and onboarding for new systems or software features.

Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during the post-launch phase.

Gather feedback and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.


Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment.


Technical Skills:

Proficiency with business analysis tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Microsoft Visio.

Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

A basic understanding of database structures, APIs, and software architecture is a plus.


Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Timeliness and accuracy of requirement gathering and documentation.

Stakeholder satisfaction with delivered solutions.

Reduction in scope creep and missed requirements.

Effective collaboration with development and QA teams.
